Universal Roof Rack to Carry a Dual Kayak on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt and 2009 Chevy Silverado

Question:
do you have a roof rack that we could put on the car and the truck . we are looking for a portable system that we could use with either the car 2006 cobalt or the truck 2009 sliverado. we will be using it to attach a duel kayak rack. Any input or advise would be helpful.

You will not be able to use a custom roof rack for both vehicle since they have specialty parts designed only for a given vehicle. But there is an option that could work for you.
You could use 2 of the Darby universal roof rack crossbars, # DTA968. These mount to the vehicle roof via a strap that you run through the vehicle interior. It is not the prettiest set up but it is portable and you will be able to use it on the 2006 Chevy Cobalt and 2009 Chevy Silverado.
Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manuals for the roof capacity before loading. I have included a link to a video review of the Darby bar for you.
