Hello Al. With the Curt # C13416 hitch installed on a 2024 Toyota RAV4, there will be 11-1/4" from the upper inside edge of the receiver to the ground. The design of the hitch and the vehicle make it so the hitch basically is required to go in this location, so no way around it. This is a little bit low as far as hitch clearance goes, but we have not heard any complaints of ground clearance being an issue for this hitch. I used to have a Toyota Sienna and the inside edge of the hitch was about 11" from the ground on that vehicle as well. We drove all over the place in that van and never once was ground clearance an issue.
