YOU SAY PART FITS UP TOinch 2-1/2 IN DIA. DONT YOU MEAN DOWN TO 2-1/2 IN. ? IF ITS 2-7/8 IN ID WHY CANT I USE IT ON A 3 IN ? TO SLOPPY ? THANKYOU

Hey Bill, so yeah we worded the fit of the lock you mentioned odd but it's not going to fit a 3 inch setup but we can help as we have the Blaylock EZ part # BLTL-60-40D that was designed for 3 inch diameter setups like you have.
