Question:

I have a 2012 BMW 2 door coupe - hard top convertible and I have been having trouble finding the right trailer hitch for it. The standard 3 series hitches do not fit. Is there a special hitch made for the coupe?

There is one hitch available for your 2012 BMW 3 Series Coupe Convertible. That hitch is the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH94VR. This fits both convertible and coupe models so it is exactly what you need. The receiver is only designed for hitch mounted accessories so it works with a bike rack or cargo carrier.

If you were planning on towing you will need the # SH78VR instead. This includes the towing kit with wiring and a ball mount. You can also add the towing kit later with the # 391CONVA7.

@RobinH Dear Robin, My bad. You are right. I see that I didn't scroll down the page enough to see that you had already sent the info I requested. Thanks for the update. I hope that I will be able to tow a small trailer with the ordered hitch. I understand that I will be supplying tail light wiring, etc... The coupe is different from the standard 4 door 3 series and I have ordered the incorrect one (for 1/3 of the price) in the past.
