Are Hellwig Pro Series Helper Springs Good for Gooseneck Towing on a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 NB
Published 02/28/2024 >
Question:
want to know if these Hellwig Pro Series Helper Springs ,HE 99 QR , are the best overloads for my specific vehicle and needs. I tow a gooseneck horse trailer with my 2007 silverado ,2500 HD , 4x4, new body style, 4 door , short bed pickup . Leaf springs are 2.5 in. wide. Problem I am having is that the load of the trailer squats the truck a little , Not bad but would like for it to remain more level. Are these the best springs for my application and needs? I do not know what the tonge weight of the loaded trailer is but feel quite sure it is much less then the 2500 lb rated capacity of the overloads. thank you for your help

Expert Reply:
The Hellwig Pro Series Helper Springs # HE99QR is a fantastic option for your 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 New Body since it's designed for heavy-duty towing like what you're doing with your gooseneck trailer. I know you said it won't be loaded down too heavily, but a gooseneck trailer is meant for more than a standard bumper pull so this is the best option for your application.
