What Size Frame Tube Will The Yakima LongHaul Bike Rack Accomodate?

In regard to the Yakima LongHaul Bike Rack, what diameter, not length, bike tube will the rack accommodate. I have a thicker bar on my bike.

Expert Reply:
Hello Sue, that is a good question. Yakima does not specify a maximum tube diameter for the LongHaul # Y02476 bike rack in any of their literature. What we do know is that this rack uses the ZipStrip Straps # Y55XR to secure the tube to the cradle. The ZipSrips are 2" wide and about 5" long inside. Knowing that we can safely say that the Yakima LongHaul # Y02476 a tube up to about 2" wide and up to about 4.5" tall.
