Recommended Baseplate For A 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X

Does this base plate work with the AT4x as well as the AT4?

I reached out to Blue Ox and was able to confirm that the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU85CR would be a compatible fit for a 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X. If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations:

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # e47ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables and an adjustable head/shank.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will transfer your motorhome's traffic signals through to the tail lights of the Canyon.

The battery will need to be disconnected to flat tow so I recommend also picking up the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect - Gas # RM-766 to make this process as easy as pressing a button.

Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. This system has an indicator light to alert you when the brakes are being activated. This light needs to tap into the brake light switch of your Canyon, which unfortunately isn't useable so you'll also need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM78GR to simulate this signal.

If your motorhome has air brakes then you'll want the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99243. This uses a reed switch so you won't have to install a stop light switch kit with this system.
