Question:

I have an aluminum CC Boat that weighs 2,200 pounds. My problem is the winch handles keep bending. Which winch do you recommend that has a heavy duty handle and is salt water compliant.

The Fulton XLT 2-Speed Trailer Winch # F142425 is one of our strongest mechanical boat winches. This winch is rated for up to 3,200lbs and has a 5.1:1 or 12.2:1 gear ratio to aid in pulling the boat onto your trailer. The handle is 10" long and the entire winch has a zinc finish with polypropylene cover to protect it from salt water.

Since you mentioned you were bending the handle you might consider replacing your standard bunk boards with some Roller Bunks # DL21740. These will greatly reduce the amount of friction you are getting from the carpet on your bunk boards and make ratcheting in your boat much easier.
