Will the Ride-Rite airbag system by Firestone 2525 fit on a 2014 Ford F150 FX4?

Expert Reply:
The Firestone Ride-Rite kit # F2525 is designed to fit the 2014 Ford F-150 and it will fit 4-wheel drive models but not the SVT Raptor or FX2 models. The FX4 model should not be a problem.
The distance from the outside of the truck frame to the inside of the tire must be at least 8 inches for this kit to fit. I have linked the instructions for you and a video showing an installation so you can compare them to your truck.

My 2012 F150 FX4 has some type of plate clamped to frame where the bracket goes for the airbag. It’s doesn’t appear like it’s supporting anything, just has 4 bolts clamping the plate that approx 12” long to the frame rail on both sides? Do I just remove that?
