The Curt Wiring Harness # 56090 supplies a 4-way flat connection point for the trailer connection. The functions of these wires are:

Green - Right Turn and Brake Lights
Yellow - Left Turn and Brake Lights
Brown - Taillights or Running lights
White - Ground

This wiring harness does not provide a wiring option for detection or sending a reverse signal. I have included a link to one of our helpful articles about trailer wiring diagrams and vehicle connectors for your reference.

To disable the Reverse Safety Switch (RSS) you will need to consult your owners manual and see if there is an option to disable this function. If you were to install a fully functional 7-way connector on the van it is possible that the RSS may not activate if a trailer is connected, but I cannot confirm that for your vehicle. You would need to consult your vehicle owners manual or check with your local Ford Dealership.

If you do confirm that installing a fully functional 7-way would deactivate the RSS for your van when a trailer is connected, please feel free to reply and I can make additional recommendations for you.
