Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with D-Ring Bumper Rugged Ridge HD Stubby

Question:

I am looking for a flat tow and break system for a 2022 Jeep Rubicon 2 door towed behind 2006 F250 Deisel Crew 4wd with hydraulic breaks. Jeep is 5500 lbs with Rugged Ridge HD Stubby front bumper with 1 inch wide D ring connection 3/4” and 7/8” in diameter. I am looking for Invisabreke system or similar pemenent system. Please advise.

Since the bumper of your 2022 Rubicon has a 1 inch D-ring you would need the part # RM-035-1 for a base plate kit solution.

In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon All Terain, # RM-522. This has non-binding arms which makes the setup very easy to connect/disconnect.

For lighting/safety cables, locks, and covers for the tow bar we have the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain kit part # RM-9243-1 which comes with all of that as one part number. The diode kit that comes with this allows you to splice into the taillight wiring so that your RV controls the vehicle taillights and does not require drilling into the taillight housings. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.

Then for a permanent install braking system I would recommend the Demco Stay N Play part # SM99251 as we have found it's the easier one to install and works really well.
