How Does ZCI Trailer Wiring Kit Wire to 2012 Audi Q5
Published 09/13/2023 >
Question:
Just instaled 119250 / 119251 kit on my 2012 Audi Q5 following the 2018 Q5 video that you all attached as response to another question about the 2012 Q5. In the video, the Red Sticker = Stop Sensor is not used. On checkout - all functions work except for the brake light. For the 2012 Q5, believe may have the BT system based on description of vehicle electrical system. Would switching the brown and red sensors then reprogram be a good troubleshooting approach?

Expert Reply:
The 2012 Audi Q5 actually has the separate turn signals from brake lights and the # 119250KIT would need to be wired as the 3 wire system.
Yellow to vehicle Left Turn wire, Green to vehicle Right turn wire, Brown to vehicle Tail wire & Red to vehicle Brake wire.
The 2018 Q5 has a different taillight setup.
