Will Offset Ford OEM Puck Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Lighten Front Axle of Tow Vehicle
Published 08/18/2023 >
Question:
My axle is approx 2 1/2 inches behind my ball. Would this move the pin weight behind the axle by 2 1/2 inches compromising stability and lightening the weight on front axle? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, since the Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Ford OEM Puck Systems # GY43XR has a 5" offset it will place the pin weight 2-1/2" behind the current center of your gooseneck hitch ball.
This does means the front axle will be prone to less weight on it than it currently has, but it won't be affecting your driving performance to where it's dangerous to drive.
