how well does it hold up to heavy totes with casters and will it allow them to roll easily?

The VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans # VTRG96 would allow totes with casters to roll around easily so you'd need to lock the casters or find a way to hold the totes in places with a strap or bungee cord. Since this mat has a closed cell polypropylene layer to cushion the top you'll also see tracks wherever the totes sit and roll, depending on how heavy they are.
