Recommended 5th Wheel RV Storage Cover For Harsh Texas Sun

Updated 08/08/2023 | Published 08/07/2023

Question:

I live in Texas and I have gone through two covers NOTE: IT WAS PURCHASED FROM SOMEONE ELSE for my 5th wheel already. The first one lasted for 10 weeks in the spring and the second one 6 weeks in the summer the first one replaced on warranty, the second time they just refunded my money. The failure mode was the same: the roof section, although gently snugged down with straps, ripped from front to back. At that point the roof material had about the strength of wet newspaper and little flakes from it blow all over my yard I found that stuff in the back of my car garage for weeks after I had thrown the cover away. The culprit was the Texas sun that decomposed the material turns out others from the south had the same problem. Here is my question: Does eTrailer offer ANY 5th wheel cover 37 that is proven resistant to the sun and UV light? If so, Ill buy it.

Out of the all the of the RV storage covers that we offer the toughest that we currently offer to combat your harsh Texas climate is the ADCO Olefin HD. For a 37' 5th Wheel you'll need part # AD69ZR. The White Olefin top panel blocks harmful UV rays that can cause cracking and fading, so that you shouldn't have to pick up little bits of cover all over your yard. It comes with cinch ropes and clips for a snug fit and panels so that you can still access the trailer without having to remove the cover. This cover also comes with a 3-Year manufacturer warranty so if there is an issue you can get it replaced at no cost.
