Will The Furrion Automatic Transfer Switch Turn On A Generator When Shore Power Is Lost

Question:
Does this start the generator in a power outage. I don’t see any terminals for that.

Expert Reply:
The Furrion Automatic Transfer Switch # F30ATS will automatically switch over to generator power when it's available but it would not auto start the generator itself. The automatic transfers switches that we currently offer will only automatically switch between power sources that are available, if the generator is off at the time shore power is lost then it won't sense power and switch over.
The ability to have the generator turn on automatically really depends on the generator itself and its features.
