Can A High Pointe Standard RV Microwave Be Used In A House
Updated 06/12/2023 | Published 06/10/2023 >
Question:
I purchased a home built in 1964. I would like a built in microwave- Can these microwave waves be used in homes as well?? If so I have exactly 22 inches in width for a cupboard- Will the convection microwave wave work? Thank you

The microwaves we currently offer, like the High Pointe Standard RV Microwave # HP59ZR you referenced, can be used in a residential setting. This specific microwave is 19.1”W x 11.3”H x 14.7”D and comes with a trim kit that's 20.75”W x 15”H. Because of this you would have to add in some some spacers to cover the gap with the cabinet. You can typically get a 1/2" thick piece of wood and stain or paint it to match the cabinets and then drill in from the side for some hidden screws to mount it to the cabinets.
You could mount the microwave first then measure for the spacers and get them installed before installing the trim kit since it will mount to the cabinets/spacers. This microwave has a standard 110/120v plug that you can plug into an outlet for power like any other residential microwave.
