How to Wire Single Wire Trailer Light In Place of Two Wire Trailer Light
Published 05/12/2023 >
Question:
I purchased this light for my Airstream. The new light only has one wire, but there are two coming from the Airstream. How do I wire this?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Lights that only have 1 wire, like the Double Bullseye Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Light # MC42RB you purchased, get power through the wire and are grounded through the mounting hardware, whereas lights with 2 wires have 1 wire for power and 1 wire for ground.
Just connect that single wire to the power and make sure the mounting hardware is touching a spot that can be grounded and you'll be good to go!
