Question:
HELP. I need you guys to save my bacon again. I have picked up several anode units for a Suburban RV water heater. The size appears right, the threads look close... maybe a little too fine... but they wont screw in. 2003 Tahoe Transporter toy hauler.

In order to determine the correct replacement anode rod I am going to need a bit more information from you. The most important piece is going to be your water heater's model or manufacturer part number.
For example, if you had the Suburban SW6DEL water heater, then the correct anode rod is the Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod # CAM11563 which is aluminum, is 3/4" in diameter and measures 9-1/2" long.
If you are sure you have the right part, then there is a chance the threads are shot on your water heater. If that is what's going on, then you'd need to take it to a certified RVIA tech to have it serviced.
