Troubleshooting Motorhome and Ford Ranger Lights Not Functioning Properly

Question:

Ford Ranger towed behind RV brake and turn signals will not work. Wiring checks out on RV and tow vehicle when separate.

When you test the Ford Ranger wiring are you testing the functions as if you are driving the Ranger or by applying 12V power to the plug that connects to the motorhome? A lot of the tow vehicle wiring kits have a bypass feature that allows you to still drive and use the lights as normal even if the wiring from the motorhome isn't functioning properly.

Try to isolate where exactly the signal is lost and check any and all connections between the two. This includes connections for the tow bar wiring, grounds, and even the wiring inside the motorhome and tow vehicle plug and socket.
