Hi, I have a 2023 Tesla Model X and am looking at getting an aftermarket trailer as the OEM tongue weight is too low for my needs. Can you recommend to me the best hitch for my vehicle, as well as any accessories needed for the install. I know with my previous installation on my Model 3, there was a magnetic accessory that sealed up the hole that needed to be cut. I just want to purchase everything that I will need for this install. Also do you have a video installation guide for this?

I checked with our vendors and as of 04/27 the only hitch available for the 2023 Tesla Model X is the Draw-Tite item # 76143. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Tesla with included hardware. It does not have a removable receiver so you wouldn't need to use the magnetic accessory. However, there will still need to be a hole cut in the removable panel for the 2" receiver.

You will also need a wiring kit but there are none available at this time but you will also need a ball mount kit. I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
