Can you reverse the towers so the uprights are closer to the middle of the bed?

The towers for the Yakima OverHaul HD Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Toyota/Nissan Utility Tracks # Y01151-5768 are angled inward already so swapping them to the opposite side would still only give you the same angle. If the towers were angled outwards then swapping them over would move them closer to the middle of the bed.
While it hasn't been tested this style design could most likely be reversed, but you would be going against the manufacturer's intended design which would leave you liable in the event that anything broke so I wouldn't recommend it.
