Question:
I have a 2000 Excursion and would like to get #TFREXC4 for the rear. My concern is that the vehicle has been lifted by a previous owner 3-4. I Measured the distance from the bump stop mounting point to the bar that they end up contacting and it is 5.5. Would these work on my application? Could you measure the Timbrens when assembled if possible? Thank you for your time!

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFREXC4 is 5-1/16" tall. It sounds like they used lift blocks placed underneath the jounce spring pad and your current springs are sagging. If you were to install these with your current air gap of only 7/16" it would create a very harsh ride experience. So if you choose to go with these you will want to replace your current leaf springs to get the air gap closer to the recommended 1" from Timbren so it will not give you as harsh of a ride.
Personally the RoadActive Suspension # RAS3621-HD would be a better option. This is adjustable which will allow you to better dial in your ride quality. As it mounts to your leaf spring only and not your frame requiring an air gap it will activate immediately which will better help with stability and body roll.
