It sounds like your Ram 1500 is a Sport and Express model with molded and painted bumper panels whereas the other options use a traditional steel bumper that is either painted or chrome. If this is the case you will want the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit item # RM-298-3. You will want to verify this because if you have a Big Horn, Laramie and Longhorn, or Tradesman you will need item # RM-52289-5.

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter.
