Question:

RPO # is 0007987354 Ser # S008601789 MFG 03/27/22 I have been reading that the Gen Y has not been approved by Lippert, Is that true? Sounds like the Reese Goosebox is the only one that will be covered under warranty. I really like the Gen Y but dont want to run into a problem if something happens.

Thanks for the additional information! I just spoke with my rep at Lippert. Your 2022 Cedar Creek 5th Wheel Trailer has a Lippert Rhino pin box. The correct Gen-Y pin box is going to be the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY38GR. You are correct though. Lippert's chassis warranty will be voided by using this adapter.

The Reese Goosebox that is also compatible with a Rhino Pin Box is the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter item # RP85FR. The issue is that Reese's parent company is going through a buyout and this goosebox is perpetually back ordered (04/10/23). If you are in a position to be patient I highly recommend waiting until this adapter is back in stock as it is a better overall option than the Gen-Y.

You will also need the Safety Chain with 2 Hooks for Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY49GR. Safety chains are required when towing with a gooseneck hitch and none of the 5th wheel to gooseneck pin boxes include them.
