Can this hitch be used with a 2022 GM 1ton with the puck system ball?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR can definitely be used with a gooseneck hitch ball that connects to the puck system on your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500.

I personally like the B&W Gooseneck Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # BWGNXA2061 because it has a handle that's used to lock and release the hitch ball instead of a tab on top that can be prone to damage.

Please note that this pin box is a little shorter than the standard pin box so if your trailer sits really close to the truck we might want to look into another solution so your trailer doesn't hit the corners of your truck bed. From the center of the coupler to the center of the first set of bolt holes is just over 16" which you can compare to your current pin box.

If you don't already have safety chains then I also recommend checking out the kit # GY49GR.
