Why Does Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide/Propane Detector Have Two Power Wires
Published 03/08/2023 >
Question:
I removed my battery from my Airstream trailer for the winter. Today I installed a new Atwood LP gas detector. The trailer was powered by my generator. After installing the detector, I had no power flowing to at the detector. Must a battery be installed to get power to the detector? My guess is yes so that it constantly has power.

The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 does have two power wires which one of them gets ran to the main power source and the other a backup battery. I would verify for sure that you have power to the wire you have ran currently but it would still work with only one wire having power.
