Question:

I am currently purchasing a shadow cruiser 260rbs with a max weight of 7849 and tongue weight of 849. Will my current E2 10k hitch work for this trailer or should I update my bars? Will be towing with f150 max tow package of 10,700.

The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Round Bar # FA94-00-1061 and Trunnion # FA92-00-1000 are both rated for trailers up to 10,000lbs with a tongue weight of 600-1,000lbs. If your Shadow Cruiser loaded tongue weight is 849lbs you are good with these hitches. In the event this measurement is the dry tongue weight from the factory you will most likely need to move to a higher rated system since it does not account for the additional 40-60lbs of propane and a 50lb battery added by the dealer before pickup.

If you have the Trunnion # FA92-00-1000 you can simply add the Bars # FA92-01-1299 rated for a 12,000lb trailer with 800-1,200lbs of tongue weight. The round bar E2 tops out at the 10,000lbs so you would need to replace it with the 12,000LB Trunnion # FA92-00-1200.
