How to Rotate the Cradles on the Thule Passage item # TH911XT

Question:
re: Bike rack 911XT - installation instructions: Cradles can be either rotated or shifted on bars to accommodate different bike geometries. Ref. instruction #11 and #12. It seems to me that the cradles are fixed securely to the bars. I find them impossible to move. Should I try harder? Use a big wrench to twist the cradle? Or maybe the cradles should be lubricated?

I've had some hands on with the Thule Passage item # TH911XT and I agree the cradles are not easy to move. You won't want to use a wrench and I would stay away from lubricating them because they won't stay in place if you do. Instead I recommend making sure the bike rack is warm. Try leaning the cradle's over an air vent and heating them up some. It'll make the plastic easier to move.
