Question:
I have a 2020 Honda accord hybrid. I need extra capacity for camping equipment. Do you recommend a roof rack or a tow platform? If a tow platform, how much weight could it take and will a full trunk plastered tow platform result in too much weight on the rear of the car. Thanks.

The easiest and most cost effective way to haul extra gear on a 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid is using a trailer hitch and cargo carrier of some sort. This will allow you to haul more weight than the roof most likely and it will be much easer to load cargo onto and remove. I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24972 with 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145. The hitch has a 200 lb weight capacity and the carrier only weighs 29 lbs so the remaining 171 lbs is left for your gear. That said, you will be limited by the vehicle still so be sure to check the owner's manual for your cargo carrying limits and factor that into the equation above.
