Question:
I have a short bed 2014 f150 XLT 2wd. Were looking at purchasing a Reflection 269RD 5th wheel with the turning point hitch. We are only weekend campers, what is the best value set for my truck. I saw one video saying the E16 Curt. what custom rails do you suggest above bed is ok $ I was considering Sumo rubber spring bumpers to control and sag from the pin weight of the trailer, which one do you suggest unless something is better for rear spring support. Thx so much.

The Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # C16115 will work great with the Lippert Turning Point pin box. It has a 16,000 lbs capacity which will work great with your Reflection 269RD 5th wheel trailer. A rotating pin box is the best option for your short bed 2014 F-150 because a slider will not give you enough clearance to turn and back into tight spaces with a 5-1/2' bed.
To attach the E16 you will want the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches item # BWRVK2404. This kit is custom fit and installs in pre drilled holes in your 2014 F-150's frames. The B&W rails are compatible with Curt 5th wheel hitches.
To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56000. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
To prevent any sagging issues you will encounter from the pin weight placed on your F-150, I recommend using the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs item # SSR-116-40. These have a 1,000 lbs capacity and use progressive load control. The springs will compress according to the weight placed on the back of your truck. The more weight the more compression. As long as your suspension isn't worn out you shouldn't feel the SumoSprings when you are not towing or have a load of cargo in the bed.
