Will A Sliding Hitch Come Into Contact w/ the Tailgate on a 2022 GMC Short Bed w/ Puck System?

Question:

Hi Will the BW Companion Slider for the GM pucks, RVK3775, clear the tailgate when engaged. Tow vehicle is a 2022 GMC 3500 Denali. Pull a Solitude 3950BH with standard lippert kingpin. Thanks

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3775 is not going to contact the tailgate on your 3500 Denali. It's slider is going to give you 12" of travel and it will sit 17" - 19" tall depending on how you set it up.

To confirm you have the clearance you will want to measure 17-19" up from the center of your axle and then measure back 12" towards your tailgate. The king pin sits the lowest on the pin box so you'll take the measurement from the king pin to the first bolt hole and use that as well as the angle of the turret.
