Question:
Hello, To connect a 5 way flat trailer wiring harness to 2019 Honda Pilot, should I simply get a 7-way custom harness or else attach a 4-way harness and a 4-way to 7-way adapter? Which way would be the easiest? Is the 7-way harness hard to install on 2019 Honda Pilot? Also, I have seen something about the backup cam wiring adding some confusion in some cases. The backup cam was standard on the Pilot model that I have, but I dont know if it was dealer installed or not is this something I need to sort out before ordering the right parts? This will be attached to a Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Custom Fit Class 3 C13146 that I purchased form you all in June of 2020. Thanks!

Great questions!
I think the easiest thing to do in your situation is to go ahead and install the T-One Wiring Kit # 118286 that has the 7-Way connector on your 2019 Honda Pilot and then use an adapter like part # A75TB so you're just plugging your trailer 5-Way Flat directly into your vehicle. This gives you a custom wiring kit so you don't have to worry about any kind of splicing and tying in a different connector like what you'd have to do if you went with the 4-Way.
To secure this to your Curt Trailer Hitch # C13146 I recommend picking up the mounting brackets # 18138 and # C57202 which you may need to bend a little to get them to fit just right.
I can't say I've heard of the backup camera issue but it doesn't sound entirely out of the question. You should have minimal issues with this wiring setup though since it uses the connectors installed at the factory and you aren't cutting into the reverse light circuit.
Attached are a few installation and review videos for you to check out - I hope this helps clear things up!
