Question:
Hi, I need to replace the inner member brake actuator on my ski boat trailer. The Dexter 7.5 that replaces the UFP A60 seems to be the right part. Is the master cylinder inside all aluminum like the separate master cylinder that you sell? Also, can I switch to DOT 5 fluid in the new member or do I need to change portions of the brake calipers also in order to do that? Silicone based fluid would be much better for a boat trailer in my opinion. Thanks

The Replacement Inner Member # DX39FR uses the Master Cylinder Assembly # DX44FR with its durable aluminum construction. The brake components including the master cylinder are only compatible with DOT 3 and DOT 4 Brake Fluid. DOT 5 cannot be used as it will damage the internal components.
