The Retractable Tongue Kit for Malone MicroSport Trailers # MPG494 that you mention will unfortunately not work with the Malone MicroSport Trailer with J-Style Carriers for 4 Kayaks # MPG462G2.
This kit is designed to upgrade the Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG460G, or replace a damaged tongue on the Malone MicroSportXT Trailer # MPG460XT.
