Swing Away Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier For a 2017 Ford F-250 With 2-1/2" Receiver
Question:
Hello, Im interested in checking the compatibility of the Swagman cargo + rack #S69SR with my setup. Planned Setup: F250 with factory hitch 2-1/2 to 2 reducer, kuat swing away adapter# PVD20B. Im interested in using the hollywood hitch reducer instead of the factory one # HRHA-2 but am unsure if its compatible with the kuat swing away adapter.

Yes, you will be able to use the Hollywood Racks Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve # HRHA-2 with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender # PVD20B. Do note that this particular swing away hitch will swing towards the drivers side. Typically the Passenger Side # PVP20B is most popular especially if you end up using it on the side of the road to gain access inside your bed.
You will then be able to use the Swagman Skaha 2 Plus Bike Rack with Cargo Carrier # S69SR behind the Kuat Swing Away extender. Since the Kuat is only capable of supporting a maximum of 250lbs and the bike rack with carrier weighs 79lbs you will only be able to support up to 171lbs of gear and bikes.
If this is not enough weight for your bikes and cargo I recommend the Yakima EXO Swing Away 2 Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier # Y54ZR. This will allow you to carry 2 bikes up to 40lbs each and 110lbs on the cargo carrier. The swing away is built into this system and you will be able to add other accessories in place of the cargo carrier and bike rack for other activities. This hitch uses a threaded hitch bolt to remove the rattle/play and allowing you to use standard Reducer # BWRHXA2182.
