I spoke with Camco and was able to determine exactly how water flows through the Camco Replacement KDF/Carbon Filter Cartridge for RV and Marine Premium Water Filter # CAM40621. Water will enter the canister down around the sides of the filter and the pressure forces it through the filter to the center which then gets forced up and back out.
