Recommended Exterior Work Lights For An Enclosed Lawncare Trailer

Updated 08/02/2022 | Published 07/31/2022

Question:

I have a 16 foot icy enclosed trailer that I run for my lawn business. As we get into the fall season I do a lot of leaf clean ups and often end up working in the dark. I am looking for an effective way to put lighting on the sides or top of my trailer that would allow me to light up the yard. What suggestions would you have?

Expert Reply:

I recommend installing the Optronics LED Off-Road Light Bar - 11,600 Lumens - Mixed Beam - Double Row - 50" Long
Item # UCL25CB on the top or side of your trailer to provide more light. This Light bar has an easy tilting adjustment to get the perfect angle for more visibility.

It has two brackets that come with bolts for you to easily attach it to the trailer wall or roof. Regardless of where you mount I do recommend using some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the brackets to ensure a watertight seal. Since it's going to be up high for greater visibility I recommend also picking up a toggle switch # DG52452VP to make turning the light on or off easy.

I've attached a couple of videos below where I'll walk you through the installation process.
