Question:

I have a 30ft 2012 PJ gooseneck with 7,000lbs axles this trailer has not been pulled 10 time since 2012 how do I know what Break assembly I need. The reason I am asking I can turn my gain up to 10 and they will not lock up. They used to lock up

Assuming you have standard 7,000 lb axles, you could use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-6 you looked at. These are 12" x 2" brake assemblies which will fit a standard 12" x 2" drum which is what a 7k axle would have. To be sure, you could check your drum dimensions. Also, this fits a 5 bolt brake flange which should be what you have on your axle.

Before getting a replacement you might want to double check your brakes. The first thing I would do is adjust them if you haven't already. Since it sounds like you haven't driven the trailer much, I'm willing to bet this is the issue. In order to adjust the brakes, you will need to raise the trailer and first check that the wheel and drum rotate freely. You can then use a brake adjusting tool like # W80630 to turn the star wheel at the bottom of the assembly until there is a slight but constant drag of the shoe pads on the drum.
