Question:

I have a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and want to install a hitch to use my T2 Pro. Could you tell me if there is enough clearance with any of the compatible hitches to fold the rack up without touching the back of the van? Thanks

The best option for a trailer hitch receiver on your 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is going to be the Curt # C29UR. The distance from the hitch pin hole is approximately 6". Unfortunately, we do not have a more precise measurement so this will be very close when it comes to clearance. According to Thule, the bumper clearance should be 6.3" for the T2 Pro XT.

If you find that you need additional clearance you could use a hitch extension like the # e88YR. Keep in mind, this will reduce your tongue weight capacity by 50%. This means the max tongue weight for the hitch would be 200 lbs. You will also have to find the tongue weight capacity for your vehicle since it would be reduced as well.

If you have the 2 bike version this is probably not an issue. Regardless, you will need to make sure the weight of the rack combined with the bikes does not exceed the reduced capacity to remain safe.
