Wiring Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller to 2006 GMC Sierra SLT

Question:

What wires do I connect from a Tekonsha Voyager XP blue, black White, Red to a 2006 GMC Sierra with tow package wire harness Red, White, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Brown, Black?

It sounds like you are using the factory brake controller pigtail. The Tekonsha Voyager would wire to the factory pigtail as follows:

Brake Controller blue wire connects to dark blue tow package harness wire.
Brake Controller black wire connects to red wire on harness.
Controller red wire connects to light blue harness wire.
White controller wire connects to black wire on harness.

The brown wire is for an illumination circuit, and is NOT needed. Seal the end of the wire with tape so it does not short out on anything under the dash, and bundle the wire up out of the way.
