For your application I recommend checking out the Inno aero-style roof rack. The parts you'll need for your 2006 Scion xB include the following:
57" Aero Crossbars - # INXB145-2
Through Feet - # INXS250
Fit Kit - # INK263
The Inno brand has a nice sleek look and comes with locks so that won't be an additional cost like what you see with other brands. I also like the design of the T-Channel in the top since you don't have to trim anything.
