Question:
I have a double axel Dorsey boat trailer that has surge drum brakes only on one axel. They have never worked well one wheel will lock up when stopping. The trailer has a P/N 82543 coupling on the front that houses the actuator master cylinder. Do you have an actuator that would work in this coupler that would work to convert the brakes to double axel four wheel disk brakes?

The Atwood Drum Brake Actuator 82543 is discontinued and no longer avavailbe. If you want to switch to disc brakes you will need a complete new actuator, you can't just swap out internal parts even if they were avavailbe (they are not). For replacement, I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator part # T47457007K which fits the same size frame, hitch ball, and has a 7,000 lb weight capacity.
