Installing Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on 2002 Ford F250 Using OEM Brake Controller Pigtail

Question:
I have a 2002 F-250 Super Duty wiring harness part #14A348 it has 5 wires Brown Illumination Dark Blue Trailer Electric Brake Feed Red Trailer Brake Control Feed White Ground Lt Green Stop Lamp Feed to Brake Control I want to wire to a Prodigy P2 Controller Black Battery Red Stoplight White Ground Blue Brake I know the White is the Ground White to White Dark Blue to Blue I think the Lt Green and Red will be spliced to the Red Stoplight ? and Brown I do not think I will use ?

To wire the Ford OEM brake controller pigtail to your Tekonsha Prodigy P2, the wires would be connected as follows:
Red OEM harness wire connects to black wire on controller
Lt. Green OEM harness wire connects to red wire on controller
White OEM harness wire connects to white controller wire
Dark blue OEM harness wire connects to blue controller wire.
You were certainly on the right track!
The brown wire on the OEM harness is for an illumination circuit and is NOT used on aftermarket brake controllers like your P2. Simply cap off the end of this wire with electrical tape, and bundle it up and tuck it away up under the dash so it is out of the way.
