How Can a Trailer Run on Redarc RedVision Vehicle Management System

Updated 05/17/2022 | Published 05/16/2022

Question:

Ifoot m building a custom camper trailer. I love this redarc TVMS. In all the research Ive done, I cant seem to get past the number of connections to control over this. It seems there are ONLY 5 10 amp connections and 5 30 amp connections. How is it possible to run an entire trailer? Im considering the following electrical loads: Dometic RTX 1000 A/C, either a Truma heater or Propex 2000 cabin heater, a tankless water heater, a 17 inch gas oven range, 2 water pumps, 2 water tank heaters, a 12v 20 inch TV, 4 LED reading lights, at least 3 LED light sets, a car stereo with 4 - 6 speakers, a GMRS radio, and about 4 USB outlets and 2 12 v power outlets. Ill use the Seelevel monitors for the water tanks but I cant use the redarc connections for that directly. That will also need power. Ill probably have an inverter as well but how is it possible to connect all of this into those few ports?

There are a couple things you need to consider with the Redarc RedVision Vehicle Management System # RED89FR. One is that this is only for DC power. Nothing on AC will be run through the # RED89FR. This will vary depending on your exact setup since different things may run on AC or DC depending on models and brands.

The other thing you want to account for with the connections is that you can run multiple things on one as long as you aren't going over on amperage. For example, you can run your LED light sets together, the lights don't all need a separate connection.
