Can the bumper be cut in half and used as two twelve inch bumpers?

I see no problems with you cutting the middle piece holding the Jif Marine Dock Bumper # JIF57VR together so you can have 2 separate pieces. I would just try to avoid cutting the bumpers directly so they can retain their shape.
