Where Is The Temperature Sensor In A Furrion RV Air Conditioning System

Published 05/09/2022

Question:

I installed the single AC unit on my camper this weekend but was sold a multi control box and thermostat. I hooked up everything for one unit and left the other wires not hooked to anything9 I do plan on adding a second unit later on, this is the reason for getting the multi zone parts. The issue I am having is the temp reading on the thermostat is not correct. I was trying to find out where the unit getting the temp for the thermostat. It was 41degress last night out side. The inside temp was showing 63.I set heat at 68 and the heat came on and ran for a long time. I have 2 separate temp readers in 2 different rooms. One closets to the wall unit read 74 and the one furthers read 68. What am I missing ? Thank you gor your help.

The temperature sensor for Furrion RV AC systems like the # FR67FJ you linked to is up in the ceiling with the zone controller. I spoke with Furrion and their tech stated that the fan setting needs to be left on, even just on low, to push the air in the room past the sensor to get an accurate reading and turn on the condenser unit to cool your trailer as needed.
