Question:

My fifth wheel tailgate was on my dodge truck. Don’t remember the brand. Wanting to know if I can buy new latches to change to make it fit a Ford 2000 F350 dully. It fits now just don’t latch at the top. Thanks

The Replacement Latch Kit for Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with Open Design # VGM-88-100-1080 is designed specifically for the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with Open Design for GM Trucks # VGM-88-100.

If you do not have this tailgate, then this latch will not work for you, however I do have another solution.

If you're interested in upgrading your 5th wheel tailgate for your 2000 Ford F-350, then I recommend going with the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Lock for Ford Trucks # VG-97-4000.

This tailgate has a nice louvered design that will reduce drag and improves visibility. Additionally, this tailgate includes two keys, as well as, the hardware needed for installation.
