Hi, I have a brand new Tiguan 2022 R-line Black. Does the C12177 Curt model fits this model? Do I need an additional hardware? Thank you

Yes it will! I went ahead and verified for you that both the Curt 1-1/4" hitch you asked about as well as the Curt 2" hitch do fit your 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Black. The part numbers for those are the following:

- 1-1/4" Receiver: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class II # C12177

- 2" Receiver: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class III # C13381

I wanted to give you the option for both in case you were looking to do some towing or were looking at adding an accessory like a bike rack because a 2" hitch simply gives you more options.

In regards to hardware, you will not need any hardware whatsoever as the hitch does come with the needed hardware for install. The only other thing I wanted to mention, in case you were planning on doing some towing, is that if you also need a trailer wiring harness, the correct fit for your 2022 Tiguan is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56403.
