Will Adding An Edge Gas Evolution CTS3 Tuner Help My 2016 Ford F-150 Tow A Travel Trailer

Question:

I recently purchased a travel trailer that is 7,600 lbs dry weight and 36 ft. I know its alot of trailer for that truck but we are primarily using it for seasonal camping within 80 miles of home. I didnt want to have to run out and get a new truck right away so I am trying to figure out what I can to to make sure my truck is sufficient. Note we are pulling primarily on flat terrain. I did install a heavy duty active suspension already on my truck. I am not familiar with tuners or how complicated they are to set up. Any other suggestions? My truck has the 3.55 axle

A tuner would be a good idea under these circumstances. While it would not increase your 2016 Ford F-150's towing capacity, it would help the engine run more efficiently while towing your travel trailer. I did some research, your vehicle is rated to tow up to 8,500 lbs.

It comes installed with four pre-programmed power levels, one of which is towing. In this mode you will get different shift points for more effective pulling.
